Hi, my name is Donovan Faith and I am a Conservation Ambassador and want to Pay It Forward to the Next Generation of Conservation Leaders!
MY FUNDRAISING GOAL – $1,000
Goal Update: $1,005 of $1,000 raised !!
MY WLA STORY + WHY I WANT TO PAY IT FORWARD
When I first learned about the Wildlife Leadership Academy I was at a 4-H meeting and a Drummers student did a presentation on the Academy. I picked up a paper and looked into what all the field schools were about. After looking at all of them, I decided to attend the Brookies camp. This field school was more than I had expected. Instead of just learning about trout, we learned leadership skills, how to work together as a team, and discipline. Becoming a leader inspired me the most because in life we not only have to help ourselves, but we must help others. Even many months later I still use these skills I learned in my everyday life.
I want to Pay It Forward to the next class of students, because without others that have donated I would not have been able to attend the Academy. If upcoming students attend field school on a scholarship, I feel that they will have the same appreciation that I have.
Thank you for helping me in Paying it Forward! – Donovan
Below is a slide show of some of my favorite parts of field school!
I receive my certificate at the end of the week that verifies I made it through Brookies school.
I lead my team in morning cadences to help wake ourselves up.
A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. – John C. Maxwell
