Gobblers Field School Location: Stone Valley Recreation Area
Stone Valley Recreation Area is located 17 miles from State College, PA. The field school classes will be at the Civil Engineering (C.E.) Lodge; this is also the location of the residential cabins.
The address below (for your GPS) will get you to the area, but will take you to the East Entrance- NOTE: YOU WANT TO TAKE THE WEST ENTRANCE which leads to the C.E. Lodge. It will depend on the direction you are coming from on which entrance you pass first.
Take Route 26 to Charter Oak Road (right turn if coming from the North; left turn if coming from the South).
Look for Stone Valley Recreation Area signs.
You will need to take the WEST ENTRANCE which leads to the C.E. Lodge – the name of this road is LODGE LANE. Follow the signs to the C.E. Lodge.
Registration will take place at the C.E. Lodge.

The mission of the Wildlife Leadership Academy is to engage and empower high school age youth to become Conservation Ambassadors to ensure a sustained wildlife, fisheries and natural resource legacy for future generations. The Academy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a cooperative initiative involving state agencies and conservation organizations.
