October Student of the Month – Makayla W.

Makayla Whaling, one of this year’s PA Bucktails students, is October’s Student of the Month.  She has conducted a variety of outreach projects, including blog posts, a nature photo collection, and participating in the Pay It Forward student Fundraising Campaign.

 

In her blog, entitled “Hunting Without a Gun,”  she writes about hunting for elk sheds: “This title may cause you to infer that I am going to talk about archery hunting. Think again! Maykalya is truly an outstanding example of what it means to be a Conservation Ambassador – taking what she learned at camp back to her community and using those skills to pursue her passions and spread the conservation message!
