Hi, my name is Amber Konarski and I am a Conservation Ambassador and want to Pay It Forward to the Next Generation of Conservation Leaders!
MY FUNDRAISING GOAL – $500
Goal Update: $45 of $500 raised
MY WLA STORY + WHY I WANT TO PAY IT FORWARD
WLA taught me so much about things such as plants, habitats, the ruffed grouse, and especially conservation. Conservation is very important to me, so learning how I can make a difference and involve others as well was very interesting. We did a lot of fun activities during WLA such as disecting birds, going to the shooting range, and going to a bird banding facility. Overall, WLA was a great experience for me I learned so much and made life long friends.
I want to pay it forward because WLA taught me how to make a difference in the world through conservation and outreach. I want future generations to be able to learn about conservation in a fun and exciting way so that we can have more and more youth ambassadors. This will help create a better and healthier world.
Because of my thrilling experience, I want to give back to the Academy and pave the pathway for future WLA Ambassadors and the entirety of the program. It is because of my eye opening journey that I am participating the Next Gen Program with my class to raise $10,000 for the future generations and the legacy of The Wildlife Leadership Academy.
Thank you for helping me in Paying it Forward! ~ Amber
Below is a slide show of some of my favorite parts of field school!
We did team building activities every day which helped us work together.
This is me taking a plant quiz. We had daily quizzes to make sure we were retaining the information.
This is me with my cabin. We got along great and still talk to each other by text.
On Thanksgiving I went to a beach in Florida and picked up trash.
Never doubt a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has. – Margaret Mead
