While searching Facebook for a summer program to learn more about wildlife, I discovered the Wildlife Leadership Academy, and it immediately caught my attention. I applied, but was concerned about the cost – until I saw they offered scholarships. I was incredibly grateful to receive a full-ride scholarship, making it possible for me to attend. The hands-on experiences and connections with wildlife professionals were everything I had hoped for. I gained skills like confidence, communication, and a deeper understanding of wildlife. This experience truly changed my life and confirmed my passion for this field. Now, I’m raising funds to help provide that same opportunity to other students like me. The Wildlife Leadership Academy gave me an incredible, life-changing experience to grow my passion for wildlife. It could change your life.” I have held these words near to me and focused my time and energy on making the most of the opportunities offered to me through the Wildlife Leadership Academy.
The Wildlife Leadership Academy is a cooperative initiative of various state agencies and conservation organizations. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your donation is tax-deductible. You will be supporting a worthy cause who’s mission it is to engage and empower the youth of our communities to ensure sustained wildlife, fisheries, and natural resources for years to come.
