The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is seeking hardworking, reliable individuals to work during the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry’s Summer Seasonal Program. In early spring, you will help harvest tree seedlings by lifting them from beds, packing them in tubs for refrigerated storage, grading bundling, and classifying them by species and size, placing quality seedlings on conveyor belts, discarding damaged ones, identifying species, and storing bundled seedlings on racks. Later in the season you will also assist with nursery seedling operations by weeding seedling beds, transplanting nursery stock, and gathering cones and seeds in seed orchards.
Deadline to apply is April 11, 2025.
