STATE AGENCIES

State agencies are a great place to find opportunities- from volunteering at your local state park to helping at a check station for the PGC to job shadowing a Waterways Conservation Officer. Below are several Pennsylvania state agencies that would be perfect for you to connect with!

HOW TO CONNECT?
Go to their website and find the number for YOUR regional office, be prepared with 2
or 3 questions on how you might volunteer or shadow an individual from their agency!

PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources

PA Game Commission

PA Fish and Boat Commission

PA Department of Environmental Protection

OUTREACH TIP --> GO LOCAL!

Besides finding a local chapter of one of the above organizations, your community likely has other local organizations too to engage with such as conservancies, watershed stewards, riverkeepers, land trusts, and sportsmen’s clubs.

Not sure how to figure it out to find that organization? Reach out to your local chamber of commerce OR contact Katie and she will help you!
