Fisheries Biologist

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is looking to hire a Fisheries Biologist to work in the Lake Erie Unit. With our team, you will represent Pennsylvania on key Lake Erie Committee Task Groups, shaping the future of fisheries management. You will also gain hands-on experience conducting fish dissections, gathering crucial data on life history and pathology, and contributing to fish kill investigations.

Forest Technician

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is hiring multiple Forest Technicians. The Forest Technicians will be responsible for evaluating sites for pest treatment and using pesticides to control spotted lanternfly and its hosts. Other responsibilities include conducting pest surveys, site assessments, and maintaining a weekly survey log.

Mosquito-borne Disease Control Technician

The Northumberland County Conservation District is hiring a seasonal Mosquito-borne Disease Control Technician. The Mosquito-borne Disease Control Technician will assist with the implementation of the mosquito-borne disease control and Integrated Mosquito Management (IMM) throughout a five-county area; specifically, Northumberland, Columbia, Montour, Snyder, and Union counties (five-county area). Key duties include fieldwork, data collection and entry, mosquito-borne disease control activities, and coordination with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) staff.

Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps

The Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Program places new professionals ages 18-25 with nonprofit and government agencies for a one-year term of full-time stipend-supported service. Members will engage in a wide range of activities in the fields of climate change, environmental restoration, environmental education, forestry, sustainable agriculture, energy conservation, and community engagement.

Fisheries Biologist Aide

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is hiring a Fisheries Biologist Aide. The position will involve assisting Fisheries Management Area 2 staff in various tasks, primarily conducting field surveys of lakes and streams throughout northwest Pennsylvania.

Staff Scientist

Pittsburgh Wildlife and Environmental, Inc. (PWE) is seeking an entry-level Staff Scientist to assist with wetland and stream delineations, federally listed bat habitat assessments, environmental permitting, and federally listed bat mist-net surveys. PWE is an environmental consulting firm that specializes in aquatic resource identification and permitting, endangered species surveys, and agency consultation for land development and resource extraction projects.
