York County Parks is looking to fill a Ranger position. This part time seasonal position provides support within the Ranger Unit and reports directly to Chief Ranger and/or Park Ranger II. Responsibilities include public relations, law enforcement, and safety and security duties. The Ranger will also assist with park special events and museums.

Game Farm Worker

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is hiring Game Farm Worker positions at Howard Nursery in Centre County. As a game farm worker, you will perform manual labor related to the operations of the Howard Nursery, including but not limited to lifting seedlings, counting seedlings, grading seedlings, shipping seedlings, grounds keeping, weeding, picking and processing seed, and woodshop operations.

Society of American Foresters – Hill Student Scholarships

The Society of American Foresters (SAF) is accepting applications for their Hill Student Scholarships. The Thomas Hill Jr. Education and Opportunity Fund provides scholarships to SAF student members to offset expenses related to attending an undergraduate program in forestry or a related natural resources field. Student Scholarships of $1,500 are available to any SAF student member enrolled in a 2 or 4 year forestry or natural resource program.

Farm Hand

Windswept Farm is looking to hire a Farm Hand. As a Farm Hand, you will assist with tasks in the greenhouses, fields, and work with our egg-laying chickens. This position requires an individual who enjoys working outdoors, is physically capable of manual labor, and has a passion for regenerative and sustainable farming practices. The ideal candidate should have experience or willingness to learn about greenhouse operations, crop care, and poultry management.

Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps

The Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Program places new professionals ages 18-25 with nonprofit and government agencies for a one-year term of full-time stipend-supported service. Members will engage in a wide range of activities in the fields of climate change, environmental restoration, environmental education, forestry, sustainable agriculture, energy conservation, and community engagement.

Fisheries Biologist Aide

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is hiring a Fisheries Biologist Aide. The position will involve assisting Fisheries Management Area 2 staff in various tasks, primarily conducting field surveys of lakes and streams throughout northwest Pennsylvania.
