Fisheries Technician

Brookfield is hiring a Fisheries Technician to assist with monitoring of upstream and downstream fish passages at Brookfield-owned hydroelectric dams on rivers in Maine. The technician will help with the daily operation of fish lifts to capture, sort, and count various species of migratory and resident fish.

Communications & Marketing Intern

Chesapeake Legal Alliance (CLA) is currently accepting applications for a 2025 Summer Semester Communications and Marketing Intern. Over the course of the semester, students will support CLA’s outreach efforts by developing digital content, assisting with media campaigns, and enhancing engagement with key audiences. This internship will provide hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, environmental advocacy communications, and strategic outreach resulting in a portfolio of writing and design content along with a significant amount of practical experience.

Game Farm Worker

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is hiring Game Farm Worker positions at Howard Nursery in Centre County. As a game farm worker, you will perform manual labor related to the operations of the Howard Nursery, including but not limited to lifting seedlings, counting seedlings, grading seedlings, shipping seedlings, grounds keeping, weeding, picking and processing seed, and woodshop operations.

Society of American Foresters – Hill Student Scholarships

The Society of American Foresters (SAF) is accepting applications for their Hill Student Scholarships. The Thomas Hill Jr. Education and Opportunity Fund provides scholarships to SAF student members to offset expenses related to attending an undergraduate program in forestry or a related natural resources field. Student Scholarships of $1,500 are available to any SAF student member enrolled in a 2 or 4 year forestry or natural resource program. 

Deadline to apply is May 15, 2025.

Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps

The Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Program places new professionals ages 18-25 with nonprofit and government agencies for a one-year term of full-time stipend-supported service. Members will engage in a wide range of activities in the fields of climate change, environmental restoration, environmental education, forestry, sustainable agriculture, energy conservation, and community engagement.
