The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is looking to hire a Forest Technician. This position will conduct pest surveys and site assessments in Pennsylvania to detect the Spotted Lanternfly. You will contact property owners to explain survey programs, examining trees or placing traps before conducting activities on private property, following survey protocols to place, maintain, and remove survey traps, removing captured insect specimens from traps on schedule, and promptly submitting them to headquarters staff at the PDA Entomology Laboratory in Harrisburg for identification are all part of the responsibilities.
