Fisheries Biologist – Lake Erie

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is seeking to fill Fisheries Biologist position within the Lake Erie Unit. This Fisheries Biologist will serve as a Pennsylvania representative on Lake Erie Committee Task Groups as assigned by the Lake Erie Research Unit Leader and maintain standard operating procedures as per interagency assessment program protocol and conduct fish dissections to obtain biological and life history information on Lake Erie fish stocks. This position also maintains and oversees the care of Lake Erie Research Unit (LERU) vessels, ground gear, mechanized deck equipment, and limnological assessment equipment. You will also have the opportunity to participate in educational and public outreach events and attend agency, bureau, division, or other meetings as directed by the unit leader for LERU programs.
