The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is hiring a Ranger Trainee to work at the Jacobsburg Environmental Center. The role entails active participation in a comprehensive one-year formal and on-the-job training program aimed at honing the essential skills and techniques required for effective public contact and customer service. This includes staying abreast of the latest developments and issues in outdoor recreation and conservation, understanding conservation principles, and receiving training in environmental education, public safety, Departmental policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, as well as law enforcement practices, all of which are crucial for carrying out the responsibilities of a DCNR Ranger.
