The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is hiring a Ranger Trainee at Gifford Pinchot State Park. In this position, you will undergo a comprehensive one-year formal and on-the-job training program to acquire the essential skills and techniques needed for public contact and customer service, as well as staying updated on current developments and issues in outdoor recreation, conservation principles, environmental education, public safety, and law enforcement. This training is designed to prepare you for the responsibilities of a DCNR Ranger, which will involve assisting with park patrols, addressing safety concerns, providing assistance to park visitors, handling emergencies, and enforcing laws and regulations.
