As a leader and active partner within the Miller Worley Center for the Environment, the Curator of Education and Outreach will be responsible for developing a creative, mission-driven strategy that values authentic experiences with the Campus Living Lab (CLL) to position the Center as a vibrant hub for self-discovery, hands-on exploration, and interdisciplinary learning. The Curator of Education and Outreach will work both independently and as part of a team to generate innovative, dynamic, creative approaches to audience engagement.

Farm and Food System Fellowship

The Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) is seeking applicants for their Farm and Food System Fellowship. Selected Fellows will spend six months in experiential, residential Farm and Food Study at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, applying their training in partnership with regional non-profit organizations.

Catskill Steward

The Catskill Center is searching for seven highly motivated and reliable seasonal Catskill Stewards to help protect Catskills wilderness. As the Catskills have become increasingly popular in the last several years, previously pristine destinations have experienced ecological damage from overuse. Catskill Stewards will provide friendly, welcoming natural history interpretation and education to the public at top Catskills outdoor recreation destinations. Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator

The Catskill Center is searching for an engaging, motivated, and reliable full-time Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator. The individual in this position would spend about 50% of their time supporting invasive species management efforts, and the remaining 50% supporting the Catskills Visitor Center, the Catskill Fire Tower Project, the Catskill Center’s land trust program, and other Catskill Center initiatives.

Aquatic Invasive Species Manager

The Catskill Center is seeking an Aquatic Invasive Species Manager. The Aquatic Invasive Species Manager is a lead member of the CRISP team who works to protect the CRISP region from the impact of invasive species. This individual leads aquatic invasive species prevention and management efforts and works with partners, volunteers, and subcontractors, providing technical expertise and support.

Behavioral Husbandry Internship

The New York Aquarium’s behavioral husbandry internship program expands upon the Aquarium’s long-term efforts to educate future Animal Care professionals. During this internship, you will assist in the care of California sea lions and may have the opportunity to perform in daily animal shows. Interns will also work side by side with experienced trainers to learn the skills necessary to succeed in a fast-paced show environment. The internship is designed to be a stepping stone into an eventual career as a marine mammal trainer/keeper.
