The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is hiring a Forest Technician who is passionate about our local forests and loves spending time outdoors. Your role will involve supporting initiatives aimed at conserving forests and promoting responsible use of forest resources. Additionally, you will contribute to the preservation and management of indigenous plant life. Working closely with a forester or crew leader, you will follow established forest inventory sampling protocols outlined in field manuals developed by the resource inventory and monitoring section. This data collection is crucial for monitoring the overall condition, growth, and well-being of state forest lands, and it supports various programs within the Bureau of Forestry.
