The individual in this role will be accountable for overseeing every aspect of environmental education, recreation, and interpretive programs and activities at Colonel Denning State Park Complex. You will be responsible for strategizing, creating, organizing, and delivering environmental and historical education, recreation programming, and interpretive programs and activities for various visitor groups. These programs may consist of guided walks, audio-visual presentations, tours, campfire programs, and field learning activities that revolve around state-developed themes centered on natural history, historic and cultural events, and environmental concerns.

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is hiring a Forest Patrolman to work in the Michaux Forest District. The main responsibility of this role involves preventing and suppressing wildfires, as well as conducting investigations. Additionally, you will support the maintenance of vehicles, facilities, and grounds.. You will play a crucial role in assisting the wildfire program and the pre-suppression program, which includes organizing, training, and equipping personnel from the bureau of forestry, volunteer fire companies, fire wardens, and volunteer wildland crews. It will also be your responsibility to ensure that all assigned vehicles, tools, equipment, and communication devices are well-maintained and ready for wildfire response.

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is looking to hire a Forest Technician to work in the Tiadaghton Forest District. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the forest operations team in their daily duties. Additionally, you will aid the recreation forester in managing the district’s recreational activities, programs, and infrastructure, performing technical tasks. Your duties will include determining timber volumes through marking and/or cruising, as directed by a forester. Moreover, you will contribute to forest fire protection efforts, including pre-suppression and suppression activities.
