The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is looking to hire a Ranger Trainee to work in Gifford Pinchot State Park. As the DCNR Ranger Trainee, you will undergo a comprehensive one-year training program that covers public contact, customer service, outdoor recreation, conservation, environmental education, public safety, and law enforcement to effectively carry out the responsibilities of a DCNR Ranger. Duties will involve park patrols, handling safety issues, assisting visitors, responding to emergencies, enforcing laws, and maintaining detailed logs of park activities. Additionally, responsibilities will include issuing permits, collecting fees, and ensuring accurate financial transactions.
