The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is hiring a Park Resource Ranger at Presque Isle State Park. As a Park Resource Ranger, DCNR, your primary role will involve ensuring the safety and well-being of park visitors at Presque Isle and Erie Bluffs State Parks. Some of your responsibilities will be inspecting park buildings, facilities, and grounds to identify and address any safety hazards promptly. In addition, you will perform traffic control, conduct beach and playground inspections, and post safety zones as required. Your duties will also include providing information to park visitors about park facilities, services, nearby state parks, and offering emergency care and assistance when necessary.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is hiring a Wildlife Specialist to assist with the implementation and monitoring of the Oral Rabies Vaccination (ORV) program. ORV program activities will consist of trapping, surveillance, collection of biological data, vaccine bait distribution and other duties as they relate to this program or other cooperator funded programs. Additional programs include deer damage management including sharpshooting, airport wildlife hazard management and other cooperator projects as assigned in the Poland, Ohio area.

As a Park Resource Ranger, you will be responsible for visitor services, outdoor recreation, and public safety within Beltzville State Park. You will alleviate problems and potential threats to the health and safety of our visitors, as well as inspect buildings, grounds, and facilities for safety hazards. You will monitor visitor activities to ensure proper use of facilities, provide them with information regarding park activities, and make sure they are informed of all park rules and policies. Additionally, you will provide proper and efficient emergency care to park visitors when necessary, including CPR, first aid, and search and rescue for lost persons.
