As a DCNR Ranger, your main responsibility will be to patrol the Buchanan Forest District using various modes of transportation such as motor vehicles, bicycles, or on foot. Your goal is to observe visitor activities and ensure their safety. This may require you to navigate through rough and uneven terrains and work in harsh weather conditions. Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting buildings and facilities for security, maintaining signs and posters, and keeping your assigned equipment and work areas clean.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is hiring a Fish Culturist to work at the Benner Spring State Fish Hatchery. In this Fish Culturist position, you will spend the season learning how to collect and select brood stock while handling the fish in a manner that minimizes stress, injury, and mortality. This includes learning to operate a fish stocking vehicle in a safe and timely manner, load and transport fish, monitor fish, and take appropriate action to deliver the fish in excellent condition, as well as perform repairs and maintenance to buildings, equipment, and grounds.
