Biological Science Technician

Forest Technician

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is hiring a Forest Technician. Your role will include conducting pest surveys and site assessments in Pennsylvania to detect the Spotted Lanternfly. This will involve contacting property owners to explain survey programs and the need to inspect trees or set traps on their private properties. You will follow specific protocols to place, maintain, and remove survey traps, as well as collect insect specimens and submit them for identification.
