The Howard County Conservancy is a DEI Intern for the summer of 2022. The DEI Intern will gain experience in both educating students about environmental topics and in program management. The Intern will work with the education team to plan, prepare and implement environmental lessons for campers and students including activities with a focus on inclusion.

Biological Science Technician

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking a Biological Science Technician. This position is located in the Wildlife Services (WS) Program, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The primary duties of this assignment will be assisting the District Supervisor, Rabies Biologist, and other Field Staff with administering integrated wildlife damage management techniques to resolve a wide spectrum of damage conflicts ranging from urban deer, Canada goose, airport wildlife hazard, and rabies management.

Conservation Internship

The Allegheny Land Trust (ALT) is seeking applicants for their conservation internship. This position assists with critical stewardship, fieldwork, land management, volunteer recruitment, and restoration of Chartiers Creek and the Wingfield Pines Conservation Area. The intern will work with a variety of ALT departments, local, state, and federal agencies as well as nonprofit organizations to accomplish tasks for the betterment of the entire watershed.
