MY WLA STORY + WHY I WANT TO PAY IT FORWARD
I applied to Wildlife Leadership Academy because I have a passion for the outdoors and wanted to expand my knowledge. I chose the bass field school because I enjoy fishing and wanted to learn more about the species. I got to experience and try so many new things at field school. A few of my favorites were performing a fish necropsy, conducting macroinvertebrate studies, and building turtle basking platforms. I am excited to share this knowledge with others through my continued community outreach.
I want to Pay It Forward because I directly benefitted from scholarship money. Everyone deserves the opportunity to have these types of experiences. I don’t want the next class to have to worry about finances when it comes to attending WLA!
