One of the most exciting things about receiving the outreach record book submissions is seeing how each student puts their own unique spin on their projects. Some students enjoy mentoring others in nature, while others prefer to give presentations about their Academy experience. Today we are highlighting the work of Alana M., a Bucktails alum who took the creative arts category by storm with an extensive photography portfolio capturing the beauty of the places she has visited and the things she has seen.
Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Savannah G., a Brookies alum whose outreach efforts since attending our field school last summer include guiding her family on outdoor adventures as well as taking on a leadership role in her school’s Horticulture Club.
A key component of Conservation Ambassador Training is the community outreach that takes place after students attend a summer field school. The Academy asks youth to share their knowledge through education, service, media engagement, creative arts, and outdoor mentorship projects. Jake S., a Bass alum and passionate outdoorsman, has been making significant strides in conservation and outdoor education since his time at field school last June. His commitment to environmental stewardship and fostering a love for nature among his peers is remarkable.
